Season 3 provides an insight into the male perspective of having cancer at a young age and offers a balanced representation to explore how different genders experience similar situations or challenges. 
 
In this episode we introduce you to Darren, Fraser and Robbie where they discuss body image from a male perspective, and how it feels having a different body from everyone else. They highlight that people often underestimate the impact of male hair loss, and share how losing their hair, eyebrows and eyelashes affects their sense of identity and their self-confidence. The visible changes in physical appearance through hair loss, loss of a limb or weight changes from treatment results in a loss of control over who they share their private health information with.

They admit to finding it difficult to open up about their feelings and recognise the impact their mental health can have on others, which can lead to them suppressing their emotions and trying to portray that they are coping well. 
They discuss how their perspectives on life have changed and how they feel different to their non-cancer peers. They challenge the misconception that mental health is only affected during treatment and explain that for some people its harder after treatment ends.

In this episode we introduce you to Stuart, Ramsay and Robbie as they discuss the benefits of peer support and the relationships with other young people who can relate to their own experiences. They explore the misconception that meeting other young people with cancer and attending peer support events would be sad, and recognise the value in opportunities to meet other young people at different stages in the cancer experience. They recognise that while they receive support from their peers, they are also able to offer that same support to others. In addition, they also acknowledge the importance of consistent support from non-cancer peers.
